The Egyptian Greens campaign for removing 17 million landmines from Egypt

The Egyptian Greens launched on their official website a campaign for removing 17 million landmines from the northern coast region in Egypt which were a result of world war 2 and Egyptians did not plant them and they are paying an extremely high bill of more than 8000 casualties killed and injured, in addition to banning the
development in such promising region for decades.

Some of the worth mentioning numbers mentioned according to some reports that those landmines ban
reaching around 4.8 billion barrels of oil and 13.4 trillion cubic feet of natural gas  ???

The Egyptian Greens also believe that the Egyptian northern coast is the future of sustainable development in Egypt with it`s outstanding potential for sustainable communities and will organize some workshops and events related to this issue.
